Stayed here for 2 nights. Bed and shower are basic but alright. Included breakfast is very minimal and doesn't look as described in pictures. No daily cleaning of the rooms. No coffee and toiletries were included in the room as it was stated in booking. We had issues in the room about the TV not working, and staff didn't seem to want to help. Staff seem to be a bit incompetent or lack the necessary training. Also, we were told we could get a late checkout and then later told we could not get a late checkout... Wasn't a pleasant experience and would not recommend it.

Getting there
Araamview is in the Malé area, about 2.8 km in a straight line from Velana International Airport on Hulhulé. Hulhumalé is joined to the airport island by road, and the Sinamalé Bridge links the airport side with Malé, so the transfer is short.
A city stay suits a first or last night around an international flight, or a base for ferries and speedboats out to the nearby local islands of North and South Malé atolls.
The nearest other stays in this guide are Express Inn (on the same island block), Samann Host (on the same island block) and Osmium (on the same island block). On a local island or in the city, stays this close share the same streets, beaches and ferry stops, which makes them easy to compare.

One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I paid in advance for my booking one week before the arrival date and the manager even confirmed the payment on WhatsApp. But when we arrived, the staff claimed my booking was cancelled, sold our room to another guest, and said they hadn’t received any payment. Even after showing them proof, they kept refusing until I repeatedly called the manager. Finally, they admitted the mistake but gave us a cheaper, lower-category room instead of what we had booked. Although they refunded the difference, the reception humiliated us again at checkout by asking for that refund back, calling it a “cash advance.” Only after insisting they call the…
