Getting there
Barcelo Nasandhura Male is in the Malé area, about 2.2 km in a straight line from Velana International Airport on Hulhulé. Hulhumalé is joined to the airport island by road, and the Sinamalé Bridge links the airport side with Malé, so the transfer is short.
A city stay suits a first or last night around an international flight, or a base for ferries and speedboats out to the nearby local islands of North and South Malé atolls.
The nearest other stays in this guide are Kaani Lodge (on the same island block), Samann Grand (on the same island block) and Kam Hotel (on the same island block). On a local island or in the city, stays this close share the same streets, beaches and ferry stops, which makes them easy to compare.

Barcelo Nasandhura Male averages 4.5 out of 5 across 64 reviews. A selection, quoted as written:
Located in Male City itself, Barceló Nasandhura is a game changer in their hotel industry. Not only are the rooms spacious, but the breakfast buffet is really good, and the service is excellent. It is also accessible to many restaurants in Male and it has a proper lobby for taxi/ car pick-up and drop off. They have an indoor pool, a few restaurants including a bar, and a spa.
We recently had dinner at Barcelo Nasandhura Malé, and it was a lovely experience overall. The beef dish was outstanding and full of flavor, but the butter chicken lacked authenticity and was a bit bland. The staff were friendly, respectful, and offered excellent hospitality and suggestions, which added to the positive experience. The rooftop restaurant offers a stunning view of the airport and the sea, making it a perfect spot for couples to enjoy a relaxed evening. Suggestion for management: It would be great if the menu could include a wider range of cuisines from around the world, especially authentic Maldivian dishes, to give guests a unique taste of local flavors.
