Getting there
Maagiri Hotel is in the Malé area, about 2.5 km in a straight line from Velana International Airport on Hulhulé. Hulhumalé is joined to the airport island by road, and the Sinamalé Bridge links the airport side with Malé, so the transfer is short.
A city stay suits a first or last night around an international flight, or a base for ferries and speedboats out to the nearby local islands of North and South Malé atolls.
The nearest other stays in this guide are Dream Voyager (150 m), Novina (250 m) and The Somerset Hotel (250 m). On a local island or in the city, stays this close share the same streets, beaches and ferry stops, which makes them easy to compare.

Maagiri Hotel averages 4.1 out of 5 across 356 reviews. A selection, quoted as written:
Excellent room, worth money spend for the Sea view. Luxury service standard. Highly Recommended. Breakfast was excellent but roof top restaurant food quality is low compared to prices. Half cooked food & even the salad was really bad. Smoothie used artificial syrup instead of fresh fruit was such a disappointment at a high end restaurant.
Location is good. Close to city center. Nice ocean view. But rooms smell damp. And the service is really slow at the restaurant. 3 out of 5 overall.
