The staff really make this place, the team clearly work long hours some starting with a 7.30 am stretching class (which I loved and he really helped me with an injury I’d picked up recently) to aqua aerobics at 11am, then offering excursions through the day (again loved the snorkelling and night fishing) to offering simple but fun evening entertainment. There isn’t anything negative you can say about any of them. Everyone at the resort seems to work so hard, yet always so friendly and helpful from the buggy team to house keeping and the restaurant staff. Special mention to Leon in the restaurant, for a young lad he really does offer outstanding service. I’ve had an outstanding stay and…

Getting there
Canareef Resort Maldives lies about 536 km in a straight line from Velana International Airport, the country's main gateway near Malé. The nearest domestic airport is Gan, roughly 11 km away, which matters if your transfer combines a domestic flight with a boat ride.
Addu Atoll is far enough from Malé that the usual route is a domestic flight followed by a boat or road transfer; confirm the connection with the property before booking international flights.
The nearest other stays in this guide are Equator Homestay (2.5 km), Charming Holiday Lodge (3.9 km) and Everest Lodge (4.0 km). On resort islands, neighbours are usually separate islands reached only by boat, so distance says little about walking access.

🌴 A Perfect Stay at Canareef Resort Maldives 🌴 We originally booked 2 nights at Canareef Resort but ended up extending our stay by another 3 nights — that’s how much we enjoyed it. Honestly, I could easily spend 15 nights here and never get bored. The resort offers so much more than just beautiful beaches. There are vibrant coral reefs with colorful fish, tennis courts, a gym, pools by the bars, a great selection of excursions, a relaxing wellness & spa center, and an above-standard variety of food at breakfast and dinner. We stayed in a Premium Villa with Jacuzzi, which was both luxurious and very comfortable. The service was simply outstanding — our villa was always spotless, and the…
I had a great time at Canareef Resort Hotel. The location was very beautiful, the sand was white powder and the sea was very blue. It was very good value for money compared to other resorts. The welcome during and after the transfer was excellent. I enjoyed the ability to use bikes for free to explore the resort. My only issue was that I paid for all inclusive because I do like to drink alcohol. However, the drinks were incredibly weak and watery, so not much alcohol could have been in them. I also did not enjoy the included wine. Other than that, I had no problems. I particularly enjoyed the opportunity to take part kn their weekly optional beach clean to improve the environment.
