We recently visited the Shallow Lagoon Hotel, and let me tell you the experience was fantastic. The hotel is located just a few steps away from the sea, where there was its own terrace with deckchairs. Most of all, we were impressed by the staff and their hospitality towards the guests. Every day we went on trips organized by the hotel staff and I have to tell you it's a level up. we saw everything they promised us from manta rays, sharks, million fish and many other animals. Unfortunately, during our stay, a building extension was underway right outside the window. The foundations were being built and the concrete mixer was running until 9 p.m. This is not what you expect when you go to a paradise island. There was no shoe cabinet, which you leave outside, after the rain my leather shoes were soaked and ruined. The boat back to Male is very early, which makes it impossible to eat breakfast in peace. There are a lot of mosquitoes on the beach. The staff was polite and helpful
We stayed three nights, and the room wasn't cleaned even once. I had to ask for clean towels and toilet paper every day. The receptionist was very attentive and helpful. The room was very large, and the bathroom was better than most places. I think the restaurant was one of the best on the island, quite complete for the cuisine. We also went on a snorkeling excursion with them, and the snorkeling guide was delightful, and she also spoke our language, which was appreciated.
