My stay at West Sands was truly magical. The hotel staff arranged a convenient round-trip speedboat transfer from the airport, and we enjoyed a 20% discount on the normal price. The meals were both healthy and delicious, with plenty of fresh vegetables. Just a short walk through a lush patch of bushes led us to the famous bikini beach, where we loved relaxing on the soft white sand and watching small fish swim in the clear water. Although our room was a bit dated, it was perfectly clean and cozy. While there were some renovation sounds from the developing Ukulhas Island, they were more of a gentle hum than a distraction. we were a family & we chose west sands. The family room was clean with non-beach view. The rooms were comfortable & very close access to the beach,. liked the sustainable feature like no plastic bottles but they helped with glass water bottles filled for guests. we could enjoy the sunrise & sunset & also spot the milky way
This hotel is part of big enterprice. The manager did not provide information, although he specifically offered. We had coachroach in the bathroom. The breakfast was very poor, except when there was buffet (once out of three). They charged us green tax although our travel agent specifically said that it is already covered.
