We stayed at Alila Kothaifaru Maldives for 9 nights to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, and it was unforgettable. The hospitality was exceptional from the moment we stepped off the seaplane. We split our stay between a beach villa and an overwater sunset villa. The beach villa was beautiful and lush, but the mosquitoes in the outdoor bathroom/pool area were a drawback. The overwater villa, on the other hand, was pure paradise—peaceful, stunning views, and incredibly relaxing. We’ll be booking that for the full stay next time. I recently stayed at Alila ( May 2025) and had a truly memorable experience, thanks to the stunning location and the exceptional hospitality of the team. There were a few areas that should be considered : -The outdoor bathroom, although designed to be in harmony with nature, there’s a lot of insects and you can’t leave your skin care products there due to the hot weather. -There were too many mosquitoes, which made it difficult to enjoy the outdoor spaces fully. -no bicycles available for guests - I have half boarded (breakfast & dinner) no open buffet it a set menu but was not the best for me (there’s small buffet for Asian food & different kinds of fruit & veggies)
