A very special mention to Bandara (Reservations Manager) and Rashila (Receptionist), who treated us with genuine kindness and went far beyond what we expected. We had an issue with another hotel nearby, and they not only helped us solve it quickly but welcomed us with open arms and turned our trip around. This is a good hotel for a budget-friendly stay. It’s a short walk from the beach, which is quite enjoyable. The buffet breakfast was decent, though it could use more variety. We had a beautiful sea view from our 4th-floor room. The hotel also offers tours through Icom, and the rooms had all the basic amenities, plus free bottled water daily. Airport pick-up and drop-off is a nice service, The parrots at the entrance added a lovely touch to the stay.
They keep chained-up parrots outside 24/7 in the heat without water or food. These parrots are obviously stressed and hungry. I gave them water and went to talk to the staff, but was only told that they do feed them. They never did anything about it and reading the reviews from months ago makes me sad to know this has been happening for a while and possibly won’t change. This is horrible!
