I was meant to stay at Kaani Village and Spa for 3 nights but was upgraded to Kaani Palm Beach. I looked at the rooms and facilities and to be honest for a small hotel they were good. It also has a nice pool

The check-in and check-out processes were very poorly communicated and significantly impacted our vacation in a negative way. On arrival, we waited at the lobby with our luggage for 30 minutes waiting for receptionist. It turns out that after 6pm, there is no receptionist at the hotel and any service has to be requested from Kaani Beach hotel 5 minutes walk away. We had a similarly bad experience with check-out and airport transfer process, where the staff did not accurately communicate where we need to go for the shuttle and we nearly missed our boat as a result. On a positive note, the breakfast has good variety and the hotel location is great.
Everything was fine the only thing is when we checkout that buggy boy scolded us infront of other guests. The reason is our boat Is 9.30 so we informed FO and and receptionist. He took our bag and waited over there more than 20 mins so this is not our mistake.... then why he scolded ?? Everyone is bound to experience stress at work, but scolding and face reaction is not acceptable 🙃 😑 .... when I did checkin FO maldivian girl too kind and friendly.
